From our Director of Modern Worship Arts & Media (report not printed in the 2017 Prince of Peace Annual Report)…
I am so encouraged by what God has been doing with us in 2016; I get to see it on the faces of the children, youth, families and other adults who fill the worship center every Sunday.
Modern Worship Gatherings
-Attendance and participation continue to trend upward at our 10:30am worship gatheringw
-Learning new music can be difficult at times, and this community does it well
-Joint-worship service with Liberians from HOPE Liberian Ministries was a high-point; looking forward to future partnership
The Band and PA Equipment
-The band is ever-growing and we’re finding ways in which to engage our many musicians
-An anonymous donation of $10K will help us update and replace the audio console and in-ear monitoring system in our Worship Center; this will be an improvement for every event and group using the space
The Center for Worship & Music Studies
-Deeper relationship with Jay Beech and the Center for Worship & Music Studies (in partnership with the Minneapolis-Area Synod of the ELCA); on January 21, I co-taught a Best of Worship and Praise repertoire class with Jay, held in our CLC
Social Media
-Social Media presence continues to be a valuable mode of developing and informing our larger community
-Our Sunday Sermon Podcast has had nearly 22,000 downloads/listens, with 268 episodes and hits from all over the world
That’s the big stuff. 2016 was a great year of grow deep. reach out and I know that 2017 will be even better. God is not done with us!
