Caritas Concert is HERE…Be sure to join us on Saturday, March 2nd at 2pm for a concert of delightful acapella music celebrating love and featuring POP’s own Katie Hines. Katie is a member of our Senior Choir and Bell Choir.Caritas’ mission is to share music with the community to benefit people of need. The unique musical organization has partnered with churches and nonprofit organizations in the Twin Cities area to help bring awareness and monetary aid to underserved communities.Ticket sales for this concert will benefit Avenues for Youth, which Prince of Peace has supported for many years and donations will be accepted at the concert as well. Refreshments will be served after the program. CEAP logo newSAVE the DATE: Fill the Truck Event is March 20thPOP March Food Drive Starts March 1st through the 20th.POP is hosting a food drive event this month. A CEAP truck will be at POP on Wednesday, March 20th, 4:30-6:30pm, so you won’t even have to get out of your car. CEAP and POP personnel will be on hand to assist. Don’t forget, paper grocery bags are being collected through this event. (Cash also accepted) Any items delivered after March 20th should be put in the CEAP donation bin in the Welcome Center. Building on Dreams Special Event coming April 11thAt 5pm: Quincy Hall, MinneapolisCome one, come all!!Avenues for Youth is having a special birthday party celebrating 30 years of service to youth experiencing homelessness and you have an opportunity to participate. Please consider attending “Building on Dreams”, Avenues for Youth’s annual fundraiser. This is a casual after work event with inspirational testimonials from former Avenues youth, community leaders, talented musicians and a variety of fun activities.Prince of Peace has been a long time sponsor of this event and we’d love to have you join our POP Outreach team at this event by registering online at: give.avenuesforyouth.org.We have so much fun together each year and always learn more about the many great things Avenues is doing in our community.Your support of this event will help provide emergency shelter, short term housing and much needed resources for 300 youth in Hennepin county and surrounding suburbs in 2024. We hope you’ll add this program to your calendars.Please note: As you register for the event, you will be asked “Who is your Building on Dreams host?” simply click on the drop down menu & answer: Amy Kust & Prince of Peace.
PLANT SALE IS HERE! The long awaited Plant Sale has returned. If you would like a super easy, tangible way to support our young people – THIS is the way to do it. Plant Sale order forms will be available every Sunday of March, and all orders (and money) need to be returned to Katie by March 31st so that we can get our order to the greenhouse. Orders will be available for pick up from 9am – 12pm on Saturday, May 11th. We will also have extras for sale on Sunday, May 12th (Mothers Day) and Sunday, May 19th.

Children, Youth and Family Ministry UpdatesCHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILY MINISTRY NOTESChildrens Ministry continues with our Sunday morning gatherings and we will be preparing to sing in Worship on Palm SundayMiddle School Ministry will continue with Mentoring through March before switching gears for Spring Term.Our High School Ministry continues to meet every other Sunday evening and will meet on March 10th and 24th.As we head into March we will be celebrating Holy Week in a variety of ways from our Palm Sunday Party to our Good Friday Family Event. All 5th Graders and anyone older than that who has not yet participated in our Communion Milestone, our discussion class will be on Sunday, March 24th and the Milestone will take place on Thurday, March 28th. Extra News and InformationChurch Library NewsAre you looking for a good book to read while you are on your spiritual journey this Lenten season? The Church Library has many books and DVDs that are now on display and available for you to browse and check out. Do you want to find a good book to read to your child to explain the meaning of Lent? Come to the library before and after the Sunday service to find just the right book to share with your child. The library will also be open on Wednesday evenings during Lent.Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that will be interesting and fun? The Library Team needs additional members to help keep the library open and available to all. One can devote as much or as little time as they wish. Contact Sally Onstad for more information.musical notesMusic Ministry: Choir & BellsIf you like to sing, or ring bells and are interested in Prince of Peace’s choir or bells team please click HERE to email us.Our choir and bells team practice on Wednesdays here at POP, see below for times:
