Hello, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church!

I am Reverend Jenny Sung, and so looking forward to joining you this June-August in worship with Pastor Natalia Terfa. This summer, I will have two main roles: assisting and preaching in worship and raising up a Care Team among you! What is a care team? An opportunity to share God’s love and strengthen our beloved community with those going through a difficult time by maintaining personal connections with members of the church. Trained volunteers from our congregation will be the hands and feet of Christ by visiting and/or calling our members who request care for social contact and spiritual support.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.” -1 Thessalonians 3:12

The last few years have been difficult for EVERYONE and wow do we need each other. My first day will be Sunday, June 12th. I will be at worship and am excited to meet with you! The following Sunday, June 19th I will begin supply preaching and have the joy of preaching every other Sunday. In the month of June, I will be reaching out to connect and dream with YOU, the congregation, and what this Care Ministry could look like. By July we will begin training and running with the Care ministers who are interested in participating in this ministry. In August we will be fully running and planning the year ahead. I have seen how engaging and transformative it can be to support and be supported by one another as a beloved community and I am so grateful to be on this journey with you all.
