March is FoodShare Month and our area food shelves need loads of help. This year, we’ll collect food and money donations for Giggles VS Dill (groceries vs dollars) in March. This is another way we grow deep and reach out, so get ready!
During the month of March, Minnesota FoodShare matches a portion of every dollar and pound of food donated to Minnesota food shelves. Prince of Peace will be collecting food and cash donations for CEAP (Community Emergency Assistance Program) again this year. We invite you to help us kick off our campaign and to help your neighbors in need by bringing your non-perishable food items to our Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday, March 1.
Sunday-Focus Needs (these items we’ll collect on Sundays in March):
- Sunday, 3/12—Infant Care Products MN
- Sunday, 3/19— Breakfast Foods (i.e. cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, etc.)
- Sunday, 3/26— Giggles and Dill challenge.
(Here’s how it works: Giggle (bring groceries) are last names beginning with A-M — Dill (bring cash/checks) last names beginning with N-Z)
* You can bring any of these items in at any time during the Month of March (not just on Sundays)
