Be A Mentor During Lent

Are you patient? Are you a good listener? Do you have a soft spot for middle school students? Then we are looking for you.

During the reflective season of Lent we aim to partner all of our middle school youth with an adult mentor. Our Lent mentoring practice exists to give kids one more adult in their lives whom they can talk to, trust, and share in their faith journey. In the words of Hebrews 12:1, having a mentor adds to a child’s “cloud of witnesses.”

Starting March 1, 6:30pm to 7:45pm, and going through April 5, Mentors and mentees meet at 6:30pm for caring conversations and then attend Lent worship together from 7pm to 7:45pm.

Mentoring orientation sessions will be offered Sunday, Feb. 12 & 26, 10am in the CLC.

If you would like to learn more about how we ‘grow deep. reach out.’ during Lent, and to RSVP for an orientation session, contact Brent Haglund, our Director of Youth & Family Ministry.
