In recent years, friends and members of Prince of Peace have joyfully responded to our Give To The Max Day challenge. There is a special energy that comes from joining many thousands of people around Minnesota supporting the organizations we love in this unique way — all on the same day!

This year the Give To The Max Day kick-off to our stewardship emphasis takes on a special significance as it follows the recent reductions to our staff. In response to budget shortfalls, our entire core ministry staff has been reduced to part-time. This includes the senior and associate pastor roles each going to 3/4 time, as well as both the Youth and the Children’s ministry staff positions going to 1/2 time. All other staff received a 5% decrease in pay. None of these changes were desired and they represent significant sacrifice by all our faithful staff.

Can we turn this around? Absolutely! As always, God has provided us with more than enough. We have more than enough people, faith, creativity, resources, and time to adjust to new realities. Your participation in GTTMD along with your faithful regular giving will help us stay on track to come out of this difficult time with our gifted and faithful staff intact and our ministries sustained and thriving.

I am struck by the growing energy and joyful spirit experienced each Sunday during this Fall season. Even after the unfortunate staffing reductions, our ministry and support team continue to give 100% as they share the Good News in uniquely creative, enthusiastic, and inspiring ways.

A Give To The Max Jump Start!

We are already off to a running start! We have an advanced matching gift of up to $2,000 for GTTMD this year! That means your donation will be doubled up to that first $2,000, so don’t delay!

Every year, Prince of Peace participates in Minnesota’s incredible Give To The Max Day. Every 10 minutes on Give To The Max Day a person is chosen to receive an additional $500 golden ticket contribution which goes straight to the organization you are supporting! There are also $1000 golden tickets awarded each hour which PoP has benefited from in the past! There is even one $10,000 golden ticket randomly chosen at the end of the day, so your gift could end up being huge! Give To The Max Day donations can also be given directly at church. Just indicate GTTMD somewhere on the check or envelope. These funds will help to replenish our cash reserves which have continued to diminish. Your contribution will also help to position us for another great year of ministry and outreach in 2023. We will continue to collect GTTMD donations through the end of November.
