FAQ: Where do you meet?

FAQ: When do you worship?

We gather every Sunday at 9:30 am for our blended worship service featuring both traditional and modern worship elements ranging from classical, organ, & choral music to modern music featuring guitars, keys, & percussion. During the school year, Sunday School runs concurrently with worship services and we have frequent Bible studies for adults. We switch it up in the summer and from time to time so always check our worship page and social media outlets for worship times.

FAQ: What is a “Lutheran”?

Lutherans, followers of Martin Luther’s teachings, are a denomination within Christianity. Historically, the term ‘Lutheran’ was coined in the 16th century by adversaries to label those who adopted Luther’s scriptural teachings and profound theological insights. Despite the label, Lutherans are devout Christians who uphold Jesus as the ultimate authority on divine love, truth, and life guidance. They adhere to the same time-honored creeds of the early, historical Church as their fellow Christians. Lutherans are committed to fulfilling Christ’s directive to spread the gospel and demonstrate God’s love through both words and deeds.

A key tenet of Lutheran belief is the doctrine of ‘saved by grace through faith.’ This principle asserts that salvation, or being justified before God, is achieved through God’s unwavering love (grace) and is received by individuals through their complete trust and dedication (faith) to Jesus Christ’s salvific acts—His life, sacrifice, and resurrection.

Other Common Questions

What do you mean when you say, “all are welcome”?

We try not to say this anymore, but when we do we mean YOU are welcome, regardless of what you do or do not believe at this moment, regardless of your age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or family structure.

What do you have going on for my children?

Children beyond nursery age attend church with their families and then go to Sunday School right after Kids’ Time.  They are invited up front for Kids’ Time and then are encouraged to join others their age in Sunday School. Parents can pick the children up in their classrooms after worship. There are many programs beyond Sunday School.
