As the season of Lent comes to a close, so does our journey of reflection and renewal. This year, the Prince of Peace community faced an unexpected sacrifice as our beloved worship computer of 10 years beeped its last boop. Despite our efforts to repair it, we had to say goodbye to our trusty companion.
The timing could not have been worse, of course, Holy Week is approaching, and this computer is essential to our worship experience. It is responsible for projecting on the screens, managing the Welcome Center TVs, the highway sign, and many other aspects of the church and Sanctuary tech.
But we didn’t let this setback discourage us. for the last 2 weeks, we have been projecting lyrics from a phone and some may not have even noticed a difference!
With the help of our generous members and skilled staff, we were able to purchase a new computer. However, as we wait for this new computer to arrive, we will need to make some adjustments to our services. Bible verses will not be displayed during this time for you to read along with, screens and lyrics will not be displayed on our live feed and the lyrics to songs and hymns may be a little different in person.
We are excited about the possibilities that this upgrade will bring. We can now stream our services in higher quality and provide a more seamless experience for our congregation, both in-person and online.
As we journey through the next few weeks, we are reminded that sacrifices can lead to growth and new beginnings. We are grateful for the support of our community and look forward to the future of worship at Prince of Peace.
