Church Council
Our leadership team has been chosen, hand-selected as keepers and most prominent supporters of our mission to GROW DEEP. REACH OUT.
The PoP Council helps us become the kind of community God wants us to be. Below, we have listed them, and their areas of leadership, and linked to their email address. Please feel free to contact them with any questions, concerns, and/or constructive feedback…
Ann Maczuga – President
(she/her)Ann and her husband Joe began attending POP during Covid, so did not really come to services in
person until in person services began. Shortly after that, they joined as official POP members.
Ann has just recently retired from a 40 year career in Education, working as a Special Education Early Childhood teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools and a Special Education Coach in St. Paul. She hopes to increase the activities in her life that she enjoys doing the most. This includes spending time with the Grandchildren, hiking and vacationing anywhere, reading, gardening, and enjoying time with
family and friends.
As retirement settles in, Ann is interested in becoming more involved in the community ministries at Prince of Peace. Along with being on the Parish Council, she is presently participating when she is available, for the Gardening Team and the Outreach Committee. In the past, she has been involved in community activities through Social Justice groups by participating in their activities, fundraising, and organizing volunteers.
Terri Revell – Vice President
(she/her) I have been attending Prince of Peace for almost 50 years. It’s hard to believe when I am so young! I have been on the council, responsible for communion, made sure the paraments are the correct
colors and organized and volunteered for many events over the years!
In past over 20 years I have organized and taken many groups to Jamaica working with an orphanage of differently abled
children and young adults, worked with a couple churches, held sewing clinics and worked with a school of preschool children. I have also organized or attended trips to Mexico City, South Dakota and Tanzania.
I retired 13 years ago from a long career with the railroad. I have 2 beautiful daughters and 8 fantastic grandchildren who I love spending time with.
Prince of Peace is the faith community that I choose to worship with and love.
Allison Isenberg– Secretary
(she/her) Allison has been attending PoP since 2005 and has previously been on the nominating committee. Allison is currently on the Mental Health Connect team at POP and is also in senior choir and bell choir.
Allison is also involved in her community. She has been on the New Hope Human Rights Commission for the last 4 years, is a member of the Robbinsdale area Empty Bowls committee, and will be joining the League of Women Voters this winter.
Allison and her husband Mike have been involved in Group Life for over 10 years and have enjoyed meeting new people in the congregation through this great ministry.
Allison is a speech language pathologist and works as the therapy manager at Mercy Hospital. She enjoys going on walks with Mike and their miniature schnauzer Daizy, reading, scrapbooking, and knitting.
Rachel Henderson – Treasurer
(she/her)Rachel is a dynamic multitasker with an impressive selection of skills and passions. Rachel has found this past year that there is no role she cannot tackle. In the past several months, Rachel has been acting as business admin and tech support at POP. Although both of these roles include long hours of learning and researching, Rachel has jumped in willingly to tackle these new challenges.
Rachel’s most favorite role in life is a proud aunt. Rachel handles this role with enthusiasm and sparkle. There is nothing to say “No” to when it comes to her nephews. . . baking, classroom parties, teaching Sunday School and confirmation, managing baseball teams-Rachel will do anything for these kids, even give up cheering for her alma mater to support her nephew attending the rival college. Go Cyclones!
When Rachel is not on adventures and making memories with her family, she works in ultrasound at Fairview University hospital, leads the team of navigators for Mental Health Connect and watches baseball while working as an EMT on the MN Twins First Aid team.
Rachel’s most favorite things at POP are communion and the deep friendships the community of POP has brought into her life.
Pam Eliason – At Large
(she/her) Pam and her family have been members of POP for many years.
Now that her nursing career has ended after 28 years, she is looking forward to having more time to be more involved in the church.
Pam is very interested in exploring what God has to show, and where he will direct her.
You will see Pam lending a hand all over POP, especially out in the gardens in the summer.
Melissa Johnson – At Large
(she/her) Melissa has been a member of Prince of Peace for more than 44 years and has previously served on the Council as Secretary, Vice President and President. She currently serves on the Nominating
Committee, is co-chair of the Outreach Team and sings in the Senior Choir.
During the day, you will find Melissa in a classroom. She is a kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary School for the Arts in Anoka, MN.
When she’s not at school or church, she enjoys spending time with her goddaughters and cheering them on at all of their sporting events, watching Gopher hockey, reading (preferably with her cat Annabelle curled up her her lap), walks and bike rides in the park reserve and traveling.
Mari Senstad – At Large
(she/her) Mari has been a member at Prince of Peace since 2021.
She and her husband Nate were married at Prince of Peace in 2022. She has participated in Group Life, the Mental Health Connect team, and various church Outreach activities.
Prior to moving to the cities Mari was a student head of campus ministry at Concordia College Moorhead.
Mari is a 1st grade teacher in Robbinsdale Area Schools. In her free time she enjoys reading, playing board games, and spending time in nature with Nate and their golden retriever Rosie.
