Operation Christmas Child 2014

Operation Christmas Child 2014

Operation Christmas Child is our BIG FALL PUSH in Global Outreach.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD fill day is coming FAST!  November 16 will be our annual fill day, and we need your help to fill our goal. If you are unable to be here on the 16th, but would like to fill a box, please let us know and we can set something up.  Also, on the 16th and 23rd of November we will be collecting monetary donations to help offset the cost of shipping.  They estimate that it costs $7/box to ship.

Operation Christmas Child is a program of Samaritan’s Purse which helps bring the joy of Christmas to children all over the world. To date, Prince of Peace has filled over 2500 shoeboxes.  This year, our goal is to add 500 boxes (or more) to that total.

Donations are  streaming in. Below are updated numbers of what we have toward our goal of 500 boxes. Bring your donations in and place them in the big Operation Christmas Child box located in the Welcome Center.

24 ct boxes of crayons: 393
Bars of Soap: 351
Toothpaste: 447
Packs of Gum: 455

Another great way to help get ready for the Operation Christmas Child Fill Day (November 16) is to help wrap boxes. If you are willing to bring a bag of boxes home, wrap them, and return them, see Katie Rykal on a Sunday morning.
